Hon. Kwaku Frimpong, the Presiding Member (PM) for Bosome Freho District Assembly in the Ashanti Region has refuted allegations peddled against him in the media space that he is involved in illegal mining (galamsay).

The publication said, Hon. Kwaku Frimpong who doubles as the Constituency Organizer was highly involved in illegal mining even after strong warnings from President Akufo Addo.

Reacting to the allegations in an interview with Bryt FM’s Evans Boateng, Hon. Kwaku Frimpong says he is not playing any part in illegal mining activities currently happening in his jurisdiction.

“I want to state categorically that I'm not involved in any illegal mining and I won’t do it. This allegation beats imagination that someone will tout such a lie against me,” the PM said.

He said anyone who knows his involvement in galamsey should boldly come out and show him his concession in the area where he operates.

“You can even ask the assembly members and the chiefs in my area if truly am doing such illegal activity,” Hon. Kwaku Frimpong added.

According to Hon. Kwaku Frimpong, he received a call from a renowned journalist asking him to mention those doing galamsey in the area in order to get more information to do their investigation but he turned deaf ear to.

He believes his failure to meet the demand made the journalist propagate such false news about him.

He said the people can attest to his good works towards the development of the area, hence he cannot do anything to distract constituents.

Hon. Kwaku Frimpong has therefore implored all to ignore all publications in the media space which meant to destroy his hard-won reputation.
