Keta: MP donates logistics to Municipal Hospital

Mr Kwame Dzudzorli Gakpey, the Member of Parliament for Keta constituency in the Volta region has donated two air conditioners to the Keta Municipal hospital.

According to him, the donations was in fulfilment of a promise he made to his constituents during the 2020 general elections.

He said, his main focus is to tackle health, youth and sports, and education among others.

The two air conditioners which were valued at Gh₵6,000 was presented to the hospital on Tuesday April 13.

Madam Dora Kugbonu, the Keta Municipal Health Promotion Officer, in interaction with ModernGhana News expressed excitement and gratitude to the Member of Parliament for the kind gesture.

She on behalf of management of the hospital promised to put the equipment to good use.

Mr Gakpey also hinted that he is collaborating with the Keta Municipal Assembly and Keta based Jubilee radio for free eye screening and cataract surgery exercise for those within his constituency.

The exercise has started on Tuesday, April 13 and will end on Saturday, April 17.

Mr Gakpey assured his constituents he will prioritize all health-related issues since "this is more important to me."

"It is my priority to get my people free from health-related issues," he added.

The screening according to Mr Gakpey will take place in all the electoral areas within the constituency and those with complications and severe eye problems will be taken care of free of charge.

Mr Samuel Dorvlo, a beneficiary of the program thanked Mr Gakpey and urged others to take advantage of the exercise to treat themselves.
