APR 11, 2021 LISTEN

The Tafo-Pankrono Divisional Police Command is investigating the Head Pastor of the Light Salvation Ministry International at Fawoade in the Kwabre East Municipality of the Ashanti Region in connection with the death of two children.

The two children, two-year-old Yiedie Boadu and a four-year-old whose name has been given only as Emmanuel were found dead after they were allegedly locked up in the pastor's vehicle on Easter Sunday.

The victims were said to have been found in the boot of a KIA four-wheel drive with registration number ER – 201 – 13 which belongs to head pastor of Light Salvation Ministry International, Prophet Evans K. Oppong.

The children died on arrival at the Mamponteng Government Hospital after they were retrieved from the vehicle.

The father of one of the deceased minors, Eric Boakye has appealed to the police to thoroughly investigate the matter.

“All we are demanding from the police is to investigate the matter. We also want them to investigate how the children got into the vehicle on that day. We have left the matter in the hands of the police to investigate and bring out the truth. The explanation we got is that the vehicle was parked with its doors opened and we can't tell how the children got into it,” he said.

The bodies of the two minors have since been deposited at the Mount Zion morgue awaiting autopsy.
