The Ghana Covid-19 Private Sector Fund (GCPSFund) has announced that it is commencing a new project that will see it partner government to secure more Coronavirus vaccines.

The Fund set-up last year in the wake of the Coronavirus in the country has played a key role in the fight against the pandemic and continues to help the government in many diverse ways.

As the Fund embark on a number of projects, managers have decided to also play a part in helping the government secure vaccines.

The latest project from the Ghana Covid-19 Private Sector Fund has been named the ‘PVAX Project’ which aims to procure and deploy Covid-19 vaccines for up to 20% of Ghana’s eligible population in support of the Government’s vaccination programme.

“We have partnered Government to assist in the procurement of Covid-19 vaccines through the World Health Organisation, the GAVI Vaccine Alliance, and the COVAX platform for the deployment of vaccines to persons in Ghana including workers, their dependents, and the poor and vulnerable in society,” part of a press release from the GCPSFund has said.

The Ghana Covid-19 Private Sector Fund is calling on all well-meaning Ghanaians to visit their website at www.ghanacovid19fund.com to register their interest to participate in the project and indicate the number of persons whose vaccination they wish to donate towards.

The GCPSFund since its establishment in March 2020 has successfully rolled out five major interventions through projects including the Construction of Ghana’s first-ever Infectious Diseases Centre, Covid-19 De-Stigmatisation Campaign, as well as the feeding of frontline workers.
