01.03.2021 LISTEN

Amenfi East District in the Western Region, available data indicates significant successes chalked few years back improving various sectors of the economy in the district.

These developments seen in various communities were undertaken under the leadership of Hon. Helena Appiah as District Chief Executive (DCE) after being appointed.

The district has seen developmental projects in areas such as education, health, water and sanitation amongst others.

The DCE was accused recently by one individual by name Akwasi Oduro sponsored by some few individuals in the past weeks of poor performance since being appointed as DCE.

The scheme per information available is targeted at the removal of the DCE Hon. Helena Appiah from office. Sources say it is as a result of her refusal to succumb to their will in the constituency.

The group calling itself Concerned Citizens of Amenfi East in a press release published on various news portals accused the DCE of presiding over non-developmental agenda in the district.

The group further accused the DCE of neglect of party folks in the constituency.

But, community members of Wassa Saa where Akwasi Oduro hails appealed to the DCE to pardon the perpetrator for his actions, describing him as selfish.

Sources say, the agenda to cause the removal of the DCE from office is premised on a self-seeking agenda that she has abandoned the national developmental agenda of the district.

This grand scheme sources disclose, is to cause the appointment of a supposedly favourite candidate that will kowtow to their agenda.

However, projects executed and dotted across the district proves contrary.
