Congratulatory message on your appointment as the Commissioner of the Liberia Maritime Authority

On behalf of the Centre for International Maritime Affairs, Ghana (CIMAG), and the Management Team and on my own behalf, I write to express our profound and heartfelt congratulations to Mr. Eugene Nagbe on his appointment as The Commissioner of (Liberia Maritime Authority) LiMA.

CIMAG recognizes and appreciates your extensive experience and leadership demonstrated in your previous positions, including the Chief of Staff, Vice President's office, Minister of Post and Telecommunications, minister of information among many others.

We have no doubt that with this versatility of experience and leadership at both your country and the African Continent, you are poised to provide exemplary leadership to the Maritime economy especially in fast racking Africa’s Integrated Maritime Strategy, and Development; and also in sustaining Safety and Security in our maritime space.

CIMAG has been the key Civil Society Organization (CSO) partner since 2018 in Policy and Advocacy as well as in supporting the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goal 14, bridging the gap between CSOs and the AU as envisaged in the (2050 AIM)

We assure you that in the face of the challenges of Piracy and security that constantly confront our region, we will strengthen our resolve and be more innovative to work with you, AU, and the UN in ensuring that the Gulf of Guinea is safe for business.
