Rejoinder Re: Ablekuma Central NDC bare teeth over demand for the arrest of Lord Commey, Nii Narh Nartey
DEC 17, 2020 LISTEN

The Attention of the Ablekuma Central NPP has been drawn to a malicious statement by the NDC suggesting that Dr.Lord Oblittey Commey of the Presidency and the Member of Parliament, Hon. Ebenezer Nii Narh Nartey be arrested as the main culprits of the post-election violence which happened at the Odorkor Police Station Collation centre.

The statement also sought to indict the Electoral violence of the Odododiodio Constituency to Dr. Lord Oblittey Commey.

We want to state unreservedly that the statement released is false, malicious, vexatious and has no merit whatsoever. It is a calculated attempt by the frustrated NDC to shift the blame of their cowardice act on the persona of the two most peaceful leaders in the constituency just to escape sanctions for their reckless actions.

To begin with, the entire Electoral process has been transparent, free and fair until Pinksheets(Glico and AME Zion) which was signed by both Party Agents at the polling station favouring the NPP was tried to be subverted by the members of the NDC. The NDC having realised they had no case unleashed attacks on the NPP Agent with the help of a Policeman (Name withheld).

Constituency Executives of the NPP present at the scene after witnessing the barrage of attacks on their Agent came to his rescue only to be responded to with attacks and gunshots by the NDC thugs. This action of theirs resulted in injuries to the Constituency Secretary, Deputy Organiser, one of the close aide to the MP and a host of party guys all of the NPP.

Kola, being a party person and a polling station executive of the NPP also rushed to the scene to protect his fellow party agent after one of the NDC thugs fired a gunshot to mar the ongoing peaceful exercise was also attacked heavily by an aide to the NDC Parliamentary Candidate and his cronies who were aided by a Policeman using handcuff for them to unleash attacks on him. They ended up burning his motorbike.

Also, same NDC thugs destroyed the Benz car of the NPP Constituency Youth Organiser and went after his life. Kola is currently in a critical condition at the hospital receiving medical care as a result of the NDC's deadly attacks.

To also curb another lie, the Director of Operations at the Presidency was never at the collation centre contrary to what the incompetent communication officer of the NDC stated who was even not present at the scene but had to recruit a Free SHS graduate to pen down such statement just to satisfy the whims and caprice of her paymasters.

We are by this statement telling the NDC that, as law-abiding, as we are, the New Patriotic Party Ablekuma Central is seeking redress at the law court over the Electoral irregularities that occurred at the collation centre unlike they NDC who have been incited by their Flagbearerjust to cause mayhem and chaos across Ghana.

As stated earlier, we are law-abiding and will be proceeding to court to make our case known and we are serving notice to the NDC to prepare their documents ready as notice will be served to them soon.

Signed...

Habib Abubakar Constituency Secretary

Ablekuma Central NPP
