Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, the Vice-Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) successfully wrapped up her official campaign tour of the Upper West Region Sunday, 22nd November, 2020.

The Running Mate met with the Wa Naa, Fuseinu Seidu Pelpuo IV and his elders where she reassured them of the NDC’s commitment towards the development of the region and the country as a whole.

She also paid a visit to the Lawra Naa, Abayifa Karbo III who was recently elected as the Vice President of the National House of Chiefs.

She again met with traders, market women, artisans and other residents of the region where she outlined the numerous achievements of the Party during its past years in government.

She further reiterated the party’s policies as contained in the People’s Manifesto.

She was supported by the Upper West Regional Chairman - Abdula Nasir Saan, regional executives and other party stalwarts from the region namely Mr. Sam Garba, former Administrator of the Ghana Education Trust Fund, H.E Mahmud Khalid, former Ambassador to Mali, and Hon. Abu Kansangabata, former Deputy Upper West Regional Minister. Other members of the Running Mates delegation included Hon. Alex Segbefia, former Minister of Health, Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, MP for North Tongu and former Deputy Education Minister, Mrs. Maame Efua Sekyi-Aidoo Houdjeto Deputy National Women Organizer, Ms. Emelia Arthur, former Deputy Western Regional Minister and Musa Abdulai, former Municipal Chief Executive of Bawku.

A press statement issued indicates, that Professor Opoku-Agyemang commenced her campaign tour of the Bono East Region yesterday, 23rd November, 2020.

She began the tour of the region in Techiman South with a mini durbar of professional groups, youth, GPRTU, market women and members of the tricycle association and hold a series of community engagements across the region.

During her campaign tour of Bono East, she will also engage a number of traditional leaders, traders and other community stakeholders to appreciate the development needs of their communities.

She will further present the party’s agenda for transforming Ghana as contained in its People’s Manifesto.

She will visit Techiman South, Techiman North, Kintampo South, Kintampo North, Sene West, Atebubu Amanten, Nkoranza North and Nkoranza South North constituencies as part of her tour of the region.
