Free SHS Is A Game Changer
The reverend and legendary Kwegyir Aggrey of blessed memory had a special interest in girl child education. His writings and speeches have that everlasting quote "if you educate a man you educate an individual, but if you educate a woman, you educate a nation".
This had resonated with the Ghanaian people but onward adherence to this principle had been a big challenge for most parts of the country. Thanks to Free SHS, the narrative is changed.
His Excellency Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia on his tour to the Upper East region met a welcoming crowd and a blissful atmosphere in the area.
The Paramount Chief of Sirigu Traditional Area in the Chiana-Paga Constituency in the Upper East Region Naba Atogumdeya has made a historic speech which will forever be remembered by Ghanaians.
He said the only reason why they are educating their young girls who hitherto would have had to stay home for boys to go to school is Free SHS.
He remarkably said now their girls could also go to high school because the government's intervention has lifted a greater part of their burden and has also made them hopeful of getting an educated community.
He was exceptionally delighted by the act of the government giving loans without a guarantor to students to go to university and pay it back after completing their studies and gainfully getting employed. This, he said is "Un-African" and blessed Nana Addo for the trajectory he is setting us up to transit from the Third World to become a First World.
He solicited for a continuum of such policies and prayed for success for the government in their quest to win another four-year mandate to do more of these for the Ghanaian people.
This is one of the many reasons why it has come as a national service to ensure His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo stays in power and man the affairs of this country to drive and direct us far away from detractors (the NDC) who steered the country into total darkness and a complete breakdown in 2012-2016.
May the Good Lord continually bless the NPP, Nana Addo, and Beautiful Ghana.
