The World Ruler - Part 31

The World Ruler - Part 31
14.11.2020 LISTEN

The President continued: "The spirit we have here in our country, unlike the one that had dominated in the past your country Ghana is very much different thanks to our past also. As a former German colony, we know your people`s character. I mean, we know the importance of keeping and honouring time, of work efficiency by being well organized, having a well thought through a plan in everything we do be it in our public or our private life. Most certainly we are Africans after all with all the differences in thinking, compared to our neighbouring countries I can honestly saw here we in Tanzania are very different. To run a country or company you need to have discipline foremost of all other things. Africans have their problems with discipline, and they are not generation thinkers. We think as far as our own personal horizon can take our mind, which is until the end of our lifetime. We do not know that leaving a good name behind is even more important for our children than leaving them money and property. Properties and money can leave you at any moment but when you can stand on a good name, the one your parents leave for you, in any situation that you find yourself down on the ground in the dust, the name can lift you up again as long as you yourself keep your mind intact. And this is also a needed foundation for invention. The currency of success these days...but I guess this was the same for all the times in the past...to have constantly a mind of innovation, never be content with what you have and what you see around you. I for myself, if not a politician and before a lawyer, I wish so, so much that I would have become an inventor. After all, to invent something is not so difficult only the process to stay on top of the long tyring process to make a picture that you see in your mind come to pass so that many can see it in form of a product or service...that is all it takes. We here in Africa find it difficult...sorry, you were leading us as a nation to see what is possible...very sorry for my little mistake, your Majesty. So, to invent something is not hard. Everyone is gifted more than he knows. No one is only born for one thing like being a lawyer, a doctor, or an engineer. We have many different facets. We might have to start in very humble and difficult circumstances because of our upbringing. But life is before anything in our heads. And thinking comes for free. Even some of us have not as much time to think is in need to find food and something to work...but in quiet moments we still can think and dream. To live in poverty is hard, very hard...but it can be a great lesson, a great power in a person`s life when using the most important gift God has ever given a man, the brain. What goes on in the brain, the fight of good and evil, is truly a battleground for outside forces to drag us into their corner, the one that is improving our lives or causing our downfall. So, we must always be conscious of what goes on in our brain and guard it well for our future. On that simple note, your Majesty...."

"Mr Thomas for you...for short, please!"

"Sorry...I know you, white people, a different. It is not in your mind to be praised but to accomplish a mission, a job," smiled the President of Tanzania looking over to the wall behind him with the old photos of his family, his wife and the children. Above the photo was one in black and white showing his parents and his many siblings, eight in all. "The olden days when we had no social system, Mr Thomas, we needed so many kids. I so well recall the time your white people came here to East Africa specifically with government officials and volunteers who were searching for a meaningful life, in big, big numbers. You stormed our villages, sat down under the village trees, and talked to our women, young, matured and old. You came with posters showing the female reproductive organs and advised our girls not to carry any teenage pregnancy instead of attending school to learn hard for a better future. And the women of the age to deliver children and establish a family of their won you advised to use contraceptives like anti-baby pill and condoms. The young ladies in the villages were between a rock and a hard place. On one side they knew the tradition of getting married earlier and having children, plenty of children, and on the other hand, they knew that they were still teenagers enjoying the adventures of life instead of having to take responsibility for another life, their child. And so, you were preaching to them and in many cases, you were actually quite successful, I have to admit. But as these young ladies grew older and got twenty or twenty-five of age wanting to settle down and have a family together with their husbands to be, they were thinking about their personal future. It crossed all their minds one day their strength will go down but they would still want to have at least an okay life, not luxurious life, but a life with food, shelter and money for the doctor and small money for transportation to visit family and friends. They were also thinking what on the road to pension age something would happen to them like a sickness, an accident at work or on the roads, who would then take care of them. So, as these couples sat down thinking and thinking all of them realized in an instance that no help would ever come from the government as there was no social system to protect them along their way...even not when being unemployed...unemployment and no land to grow vegetables and fruits...that would have been their end, starving to death because the white man advised them not to have many children. It did not take long after the influx of thousands of white people into our society with sweet words that work for their own societies very well but are misplaced and dangerous in our countries, that they started the production of many children again their only most reliable social system they could ever get...that is what they thought for generations after generations. Even as people like you and your friends, when they came to Africa to turn the tables and change history, even for you people it took a very long time of hard work to establish a working good social system and my guess is, we all have not ended the hard work yet."

"Much more needs to be done, that is for sure!"

"Thank you, Mr Thomas...I knew we have a long way still to go but we all can honestly say that we have come far and very far in the dark days of this continent. But we also must confess that the words your white people once had spoken here on the African continent were not upright, were corrupt words."

"Sorry...please, Mr President...enlighten me!"

"You wanted us to reduce the numbers of Africans not for our own benefit but for your own good!" answered the President of Tanzania who had studied the development of the African continent deeply every day. "You knew so well once we are big and bigger in numbers the open door is before us and behind you that we enter, and you leave the throne to dominate this planet. You never thought of us to help us and live a better life, rather ensure that not many Africans will reach the shores of Europe and America to cause any disturbances there and eventually as we would come in big numbers, destroy your societies or in the best case take them by storm. Your white man`s spirit did not want to allow that, so you enjoyed seeing us diving into corruption and fighting among brothers and sisters in our countries and across our borders. To relax your people back home you voices sweet words, gave aid and loan to Africa, established Assembly lines for cars and factories tin tomatoes on our continent so that our people never get rich but stay in their corners here. You came to us, especially one very rich and powerful man, to improve our health system with medication, pills and vaccine. Every life matter and everyone has a right to live a happy healthy life for as long as he is on this earth. Their couple`s initiative was curing many of our people, no doubt about that and we were most grateful for that. On the other side, it meant that more babies survived, more people lived a healthy life for long to produce more and more children as this couple had forgotten to demand from us a well working social system before the help would start so that both could happen, healthy life for our people while at the same time reducing the numbers of people being born. As we Africans love big families and as the trend of overpopulation had already laid its foundations long in the past, by implementing a well working social system the rate of overpopulation could have been slowed down. But this was not on your mind as you people were democratic constituted countries in which politicians only work and think for eight or ten or so years and not for generations and generations to come. No wonder, that the original calculation your white people once had was at one point, which is now, no longer working. You inherited or I may better say developed the spirit of innovation and we here did not. But as the world is spinning around and around time came our population had reached its immense numbers today so that our big numbers far outsmart your spirit of intelligence. And much to my very own surprise, I have to admit, the overpopulation of our continent has brought forth smart people in greater numbers that have developed, also with you specific assistance, Mr Thomas, the spirit to copy you people and to top it up to invent new products and services that even your societies now buy from us, come to us to learn and see how much better we do things. We the former students of the white man have not become their Professors...that is so heart-warming, Mr Thomas."

"Amen, Mr President! Amen!"

"But now, we here on the African continent have to take one more important step to accelerate the process an make it solid, to lay another foundation on which we all can stand tall and strong...for that is my invitation to come here," asked the President of Tanzania one of his waiters to open a bottle of finest French Champagne flown into the country the week before especially to highlight the occasion.

"Mr Thomas," lifted the President his glass and asked King Thomas to do the same while both were standing in the middle of the President`s Office face to face, "we want to be the next new Kingdom on the African continent after you. I toast to you that you should teach us what it takes to be the Kingdom of Tanzania and overcome our status as a Republic as this is what our people have voted for in the last referendum overwhelmingly. I know our neighbour in the north, Kenya, has also knocked already at your door wanting to be changed to a Kingdom...therefore it makes me personally so happy that we are the first country in the Sub-Saharan region that you have chosen to be the next Kingdom in line. So, let us both toast to the great success story ahead of us for our two countries and the entire continent of Africa...Prost!" The door opened, people came in and joined the celebration smiling all over their faces. The President introduced one by one to King Thomas shaking hands and mentioned: "These are the Cabinet Ministers that will want to sit at your feet and hear from your how we should make the transition happen from Republic to Kingdom. They have all come with their individual College Block and pencils to take notes of your advice and the many Ministers in your delegation that has arrived already yesterday here in Dodoma. We all look forward to the next coming days and months to prepare Tanzania to be a great country. Whether the people want to see me as their current President to be their next King...I leave that open and into the hands of God. The coming process will bring clarity to that aspect of our history. But let me now ask you to come over here and step out onto the balcony as the people of Tanzania have gathered in the garden of the State House and in the streets of our city to pay homage to you and give you great honour, Mr Thomas. As much as I know that you are more of a private a bit shy person but here the people want to see you and honour you with their cheers and laughter, their happiness in their hearts and minds. So, please Mr Thomas, follow me onto the balcony for all of Tanzania to see you live."
