Justice Catches Up with NDC Killer Politicians?

It may not be quite the beginning of the end of the vaulting political ambition and presidential comeback of former President John “Akonfem-Kanazoe” Dramani Mahama, but the proverbial handwriting is already on the wall, pointing to the certain possibility of the man who has been bragging about the unrivalled violent track-record of the key operatives of the Rawlings-founded National Democratic Congress’ being smack behind the ongoing cascade of assassinations and assassination attempts on the lives of incumbent New Patriotic Party tribunes by wannabe tribunes or parliamentary candidates of Ghana’s main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).

In the latest case scenario, the NDC’s Parliamentary Candidate for the Agona-West Constituency, in the Central Region, stands indicted and charged with “aiding and abetting political party vigilantes in connection with an alleged plot to murder the incumbent Member of Parliament for the [Agona-West] Constituency, Cynthia Morrison” (See “Agona West: NDC PC Charged Over Alleged Plot to Kill Gender Minister” Modernghana.com 10/24/20).

Significantly and predictably, Candidate John “Airbus-Embraer” Dramani Mahama, the former President who has been luridly pretending as if he presided over the most peaceful era of Ghana’s history, has been tactically maintaining a deathly silence, even while also self-righteously and mendaciously claiming that national security under President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is dangerously getting out of hand. Now, this is the same politician who has been pontifically railing against the members of the Ghana National Peace Council (GNPC) for not demanding the immediate release of Mr. Gregory Afoko, the convicted assassin of the extant Upper-East’s Regional Chairman of the then main opposition New Patriotic Party.

It goes to show the Dear Reader just how much Candidate Mahama really cares about the maintenance of our national security system and apparatus. Under the watch of Candidate Mahama, both as Interim- and substantive President of the Sovereign Democratic Republic of Ghana, more political killings and assassinations occurred in the country than at anytime in the postcolonial era, with the possible exceptions of the Kwame Nkrumah-led Convention People’s Party (CPP) regime and the Jeremiah John Rawlings-led juntas of the Armed Forces Revolutionary Council (AFRC) and the Provisional National Defense Council (PNDC).

But his scandalously cavalier pretense to avid concern about the present state of our national security strikingly belies the massive contribution of both Candidate Mahama and his National Democratic Congress towards the criminal, deliberate and systematic destabilization of the country at large, and the Akufo-Addo-led government of the New Patriotic Party in particular. When he has not been directly involved, together with Mr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, the indicted National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress, and his former Minister for Local Government and Rural Development, Candidate Mahama has been studiously engaged in heavily funding disgruntled members of the ruling New Patriotic Party who have megalomaniacally and counterproductively opted to contest the 2020 parliamentary election as Independent Candidates.

According to the firebrand New Patriotic Party’s Bono Region Chairman, Mr. Kwame Baffoe – aka Abronye DC – Candidate Mahama has been privately conferring with breakaway Independent Parliamentary Candidates of the New Patriotic Party and gifting each and every one of them with two mini pickup trucks and unspecified amounts of cash, in a strategic bid to jampacking the near-certain second Akufo-Addo Administration with NDC-sponsored saboteurs, as a means of stalling the steady socioeconomic and industrial progress of the country. That is how progressive and patriotic the former Gonja-West, Savannah Region, parliamentarian veritably is.

You see, for Candidate Mahama, the 2020 general election all boils down to him being undeservedly returned to Jubilee House or an all-out civic chaos and/or strife. Now, what is most significant about the arrest and indictment of Mr. Paul Ofori Amoah, the National Democratic Congress’ Agona-West Parliamentary Candidate, is the paper trail that is apt to lead up to the doorstep and terror network of Candidate John “Akonfem-SADA” Dramani Mahama. There is an obvious paper trail which a meticulous investigation by personnel of the Ghana Police Service (GPS) should be able to unearth in absolutely no time at all.

In the Cynthia Mamle Morrison Assassination Attempt Case, the apparent Principal Architect, Mr. Ofori Amoah, had reportedly lined up two separate goon squads for the job. But what is strikingly interesting here is the fact that the first group of goons is composed almost wholly of “Zongo Boys” or northerners, at least going by the sound of their names – Saddick Abubakar, Gordon Kunya, Isaac Addea [Addae/Addai?] and Dauda Fatua. The second squad appears to be more reflective of a multiethnic and multicultural Ghana, namely, John Toko, Emmanuel Mensah, Elvis Kwabena Poku, Kwabena Poku, Wahab Saeed and Kweku Amponsah. Now, there clearly appears to be one missing prominent name here. Obviously, the name of the man who did not personally rubout President John Evans Atta-Mills and yet cannot tell Ghanaians precisely whodunit.

At any rate, what makes Mr. Paul Ofori Amoah suppose the life of Ms. Cynthia Mamle Morrison to be worth a diddly GHȻ 5,000, not even worth $ 1,000 (USD)? But, of course, this also goes to show the global Ghanaian community and, indeed, the international community at large, how cheaply wicked the operatives of the Zongo-quarrying NDC’s Gonja-run Mafia network can be. No wonder Candidate Mahama has prioritized the construction of mortuaries in all Zongo communities in the country as his first order of business, in his highly unlikely return to Jubilee House by the Ghanaian electorate, come December 2020.
