Akamba Directs All NDC MPs, PCs To Monitor EC One-Day Voter Registration Exercise

As part of the measures being put in place by the opposition National Democratic Congress to police the Voter registration exercise from start to finish, the National Organiser of the party Joshua Hamidu Akamba has issued a directive to all their Parliament's Candidates and Members of Parliament to ensure its effectiveness.

Akamba is urging them to keep an eagle eye throughout the entire registration exercise held today October 1.

"Following the voter registration scheduled by the Electoral Commission on Thursday 1st of October 2020, all Parliamentary Candidates and Sitting Member of Parliament have been advised to personally get involved and serve as Party Agents based on some intelligence gathered," the directive stressed.

This information was communicated to the PCs and MPs in a special wireless notification issued by the National Organizer of the NDC to all Regional Chairpersons and Organizers.

According to the directives, in any instance where the PCs/MPs will not personally be available, they should delegate any of the following people to represent them as agents at their respective District Office for the exercise; Constituency Chairman, Constituency Secretary, Constituency Organizer and Constituency Election Director.

He also emphasized on the importance of reporting before the start of the exercise and staying throughout the process for the Close of Day Report with vigilance.
