Kojo Quansah Is Fooling Nobody in the Central Region – Part 1

Kojo Quansah Is Fooling Nobody in the Central Region – Part 1
23.09.2020 LISTEN

We have been down this stinky alleyway before. It is one of the many things that the key operatives of the John “Akonfem-Kanazoe” Dramani Mahama-led main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) knows how to do best – that is, throw huge gusts of dust and bales of wool over the eyes of Ghanaian citizens and eligible voters. Well, I have news for you, folks. I have received this leaked memo/memorandum, signed by Mr. Kojo Quansah, the National Democratic Congress’ Central Regional Secretary, in which this agitprop scam-artist desperately decries the fact that the people of the adjoining Western Region, and the newly Akufo-Addo-created Western-North Region have roundly rejected the meanspirited Running-Mate of Candidate John Dramani Mahama, that is, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, and that the Central Regional Executives of the National Democratic Congress are poised to paying and busing party supporters and sympathizers to each and every one of the constituencies which are to be shortly visited by the Elmina native and former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast.

The memo is captioned “Planned Hype for Grandma,” and it was released by the Central Regional Secretariat of the National Democratic Congress in Cape Coast. It is numerically bulleted in five paragraphs, with the preamble or the unnumbered introduction to the first paragraph reading as follows: “Following the [extremely] poor reception given our running-mate by the people of the Western and Western-North Regions, I have been directed by the Regional Chairman to inform you to take note of the following arrangements as she [Candidate Naana Opoku-Agyemang] start[s] her five (5) days [sic] tour of our region.”

Now, it is very clear that although Mr. Quansah is a native of one of Ghana’s most literate regions, if not the most literate region, his rather disturbingly halting grammar clearly indicates that the Central Regional Secretary of the National Democratic Congress could significantly benefit from enrolling for a grammar course brush up at any one of those Akufo-Addo-implemented readily accessible fee-free Senior High Schools. I could list any number of the elite public secondary academies in Cape Coast that are active participants in the fee-free SHS policy initiative – Mfantsipim, Aggrey Memorial, Adisadel, Augustine’s, National… the list goes on and on and on inexhaustibly.

In the first paragraph of the aforementioned memo, Naana Opoku-Agyemang is to be afforded “a rousing” make-believe or pretend “welcome.” Now, isn’t this stratagem rather downright pathetic?! But, of course, the good news here is that it clearly shows that the kinsmen and clansmen and women of the late Messrs. John Evans Atta-Mills and Kwesi Bekoe Amissah-Arthur are very quick studies who have been taught and learned some hard and tragic lessons from Little “Make Me One of Your Own Sons” Dramani in the four-and-half years that the “Inscrutable Divine Providence of Bole-Bamboi” made the SADA-Akonfem Scam-Artist the first post-independence-born President of Ghana.

The Fantis are not the least bit amused that Little Dramani would spit in their faces and piss on the grave of the very generous to a fault former Rawlings inducted Vice-Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress and substantive Vice-President of the Sovereign Democratic Republic of Ghana who made Little Dramani the national figure that he is today. Yes, in the wake of the “mysterious” and seismic passing of President Atta-Mills, Little Dramani had the chutzpah to disdainfully tell the global Ghanaian community that he and a couple of his fellow northern-descended and northern-born Ghanaian citizens had been made second-class citizens by being routinely made either Vice-Presidential Candidates or substantive Vice-Presidents of the Sovereign Democratic Republic of Ghana.

Even more scandalous, to this day, is the fact that Little Dramani would not tell Ghanaians who or what killed his former immediate boss, except to curtly and niggardly say that “I did not kill Professor Mills.” This at once churlish and childish retort from a man who could readily have accessed the autopsy report of the presidential coroners or pathologists who had examined the mortal remains of the Dead President and authoritatively revealed the cause of death of the man who held the most powerful elective position in all the land, is an indelible blight on the consciences of all God-fearing, progressive and truth-loving Ghanaian citizens.

You see, Dear Readers, not only had Little Dramani epically failed as President of the Sovereign Democratic Republic of Ghana, the man also woefully lacks the requisite intellectual, emotional and psychological temperament demanded of the Presidency. Little Dramani insufferably lacks good manners and the cultural and behavioral traits of the average upper-class Ghanaian citizen. Which is also precisely why when President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo took over the baton of leadership, the globally renowned and nationally distinguished “Akyem Mafia Capo” had to run his government in the opposite direction. You see, Nana Akufo-Addo had to thoroughly clear the mountains of garbage that Little Dramani had recklessly littered in his trail before he could wisely and comfortably proceed with the very adult business of national governance and the salutary socioeconomic, cultural and industrial development.
