Workers of Barclays Bank Ghana have begun a strike to press home their demands for better working conditions.
JOY NEWS' checks at a number of the bank's branches in the capital reveal desperation on the part of customers who have been left stranded outside the bank's premises, unable to access their monies.
The strike, ,which is said to be nationwide, is especially biting because it comes at the start of the working week when most people would need to access funds for their businesses and other transactions.
Barclays has 26 branches countrywide. Twelve of these braches are in the Accra-Tema area.
