Adam Abubakari, a mason is in the grip of the law for stabbing his colleague to death at a spot called 'June Fourth,' near the Kantamanto Market in Accra. Adam removed a knife which was concealed in his pocket and stabbed Awuku in the left ear.
Adam whose plea was not taken when he appeared before a James Town Magistrate's Court was remanded in police custody while investigations continue.

Police Prosecutor, Inspector John Asare, told the court that on September 9, this year at about 5 p.m., the Railway Police was informed that one Kwabena Awuku Mosi had been stabbed by his friend Adam.

Inspector Asare said the Railway Police quickly dispatched men to the June 4th area of the crime scene at Kantamanto where Awuku's body was found lying in a pool of blood.

It was realized that a bit of breath was still in him for which the officers rushed him to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital but unfortunately he died a few minutes later.

According to Inspector Asare, investigations by the Police revealed that the incident happened as a result of a quarrel which developed between the two.
