The Ghana National Education Campaign Coalition (GNECC) is calling on the government to ensure vulnerable children have easy access to basic literacy education in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic.
The education sector just like all other sectors in the country has been massively hit by the global pandemic since March.
As the world marks International Literacy Day today, GNECC has through a press statement called on the government to invest more resources into education during these trying times to ensure vulnerable children are able to access basic literacy education.
“We, therefore, call on the government to allocate more resources towards ensuring marginalized and vulnerable children are not denied access to basic literacy education in the midst of the Covid-19 crisis”, a part of the statement from GNECC reads.
