NPP NPP UK Branch Donates First Tranche Of Branded T-Shirts To Agona East, Cape Coast South Constituencies
SEP 1, 2020 LISTEN

The Executives of the UK Branch of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) have assured to fully support the party's parliamentary candidates for the 20 selected orphan constituencies in Ghana as part of the Branch Campaign to grab more seats from the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) come 2020 general elections.

The NPP UK Branch represented by Mr Kwame Boateng (Organiser), Mr Eric Amofa Deputy Branch Organiser and Miss Shirley Kyei (Branch Women’s Organiser) gave the assurance when they donated printed T-shirts to Prof. Yankah and Hon Ernest Arthur on behalf of the UK Branch Chairman, Mr Kwaku Nkansah and the Election Committee.

The donation forms part of the NPP UK Branch "constituency adoption" project aimed at supporting the party structures and the candidates with material and financial resources to win more parliamentary and presidential votes for the party in the next general elections.

The NPP UK Branch members who played pivotal role in the recent Voters Registration Exercise in Ghana are still moving round to the adopted constituencies across Ghana to identify and address some of the challenges facing the party at the grassroots for massive victory.

Mr Kwame Boateng was confident that Prof Yankah (PC for Agona East) and Hon Ernest Arthur (PC for Cape Coast South) would slap the NDC with an embarrassing defeat come December.

He assured both Parliamentary Candidates on behalf of the NPP UK Branch Chairman, Mr Kwaku Nkansah that they will stand by the Constituency to ensure the agenda to win the Agona East and Cape Coast South seats was achieved with ease.

It is important to note that the UK NPP Branch has adopted 20 orphaned constituencies in Ghana including Agona East and Cape Coast South Constituency, with the intention of winning all for the party as part of their contributions to the NPP.

Receiving the T-shirts, Prof. Kwesi Yankah, who is also a Deputy Minister for Education commended the UK Branch Chairman and the entire team for the support and pledged to work assiduously to grab the seat from the incompetent NDC member of Parliament in the Agona East Constituency, Mrs Queenstar Maame Pokuah Sawyerr.

Mr Eric Amofa, Deputy Organiser of the NPP UK Branch also commended Professor Yankah for the extensive grounds work done so far and encouraged him to maintain the pace devoid of complacency.

He was optimistic that the excellent performance of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo especially in the Agona East Constituency would translate into massive votes for Prof. Yankah and the NPP come December.
