The Moderator of the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Right Reverend Dr Yaw Frimpong-Manso, has recommended sports evangelism, particularly, football, through which pastors could preach to all people since football has became a household activity that brings people together.
He says the national sense of patriotism that emerged recently as a result of the Black Stars' performance at the World Cup would be sustained to keep both the Church and the people of the nation together.
Right Reverend Dr Yaw Frimpong-Manso was speaking at the opening session of the Sixth General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana in Accra.
The five-day assembly is being attended by over 500 delegates from Ghana, USA, United Kingdom and Germany.
The Assembly would deliberate on the Church's health, education, agriculture, and societal programmes, after which a communiqué would be issued.
