The National Organizer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Hon. Joshua Hamidu Akamba has cautioned Ghanaians to beware of fraudsters using his name to dupe people on Facebook.
He said the perpetrators have managed to fake an account in his name and using same to scam unsuspecting victims under the guise of providing them with jobs.
In a Facebook post by Joshua Akamba, he said checks reveal that the perpetrators have part away with monies ranging from GH¢500 to GH¢1,000 after promising victims enlistment into the security services.
“I have become aware of a fake account in my name, being used to dupe innocent people. Please disregard it and report anyone who engages you in the name of such accounts. I do not have any other account aside my official Facebook page”, the NDC National Organizer has noted.
He stated on his official Facebook account as follows:
