PNC National Youth Organizer Steps Down; Goes For Communications Secretary Role
The National Youth Organizer of the People’s National Convention (PNC), Awudu Ishaq has announced plans to step down to enable him vie for the position of the party’s National Communications Secretary.
Ahead of the 2020 General Elections, the PNC is yet to go to elect party executives to strategies for power.
In a letter from Awudu Ishaq, he indicated that he is leaving the National Youth Organizer role, a position he has occupied since December 2015.
Stressing on the successes he has chalked for the party as the National Youth Organizer even in the midst of several challenges, Awudu Ishaq believes he can perform better when he assumes the position of the National Communications Secretary position.
“Having garnered considerable communication skills and experiences as a former constituency, regional and national executive of the party, I have deemed it opportune enough to take up the National Communications Secretary position of the party”, he said in his letter copied to ModernGhana News.
Awudu Ishaq adds, “In this new role, I intend to streamline communications within the party and to rejuvenate the communication departments of the party especially at the Constituency and Regional levels. It is my avowed intention to ensure that the party thrives on functioning and effective communication at the various structural levels of the party manned by well-trained and highly skilled communicators who are brewed in the ideologies of the PNC and abreast with the trending policy positions of the party.
“The attractiveness and relevance of the PNC would depend on how swiftly and timely the party responds to issues. Timely, accurate, and relevant party communication would put the party in a pole position to receive the needed media attention to propagate itself”.
