Police Service Holds Press Conference

Listen to article

In what insiders say is an elaborate attempt to reclaim its fast fading image, the Ghana Police Service is scheduled to hold a major press conference on Thursday to speak on damning allegations of narcotics drug peddling and bribe extortion leveled against Senior Personnel of the Service.

Even though the Police Public Relations Directorate has chosen to remain tight lipped over the agenda for Thursday's Press Conference, insiders say the meeting would have the IGP, Patrick Acheampong, in the hot seat to take a barrage of probing questions from journalists, over the stance of the Police Service on recent damaging allegations that have linked powerful members of the Police administration to the unfolding cocaine bribery saga.

CITI NEWS has gathered that ahead of the Press Conference, the IGP would meet all Regional Commanders of the Service to discuss the deepening image crisis of the Police.
