19 year old Irene Djumor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology took away the crown of the Miss Ghana 2006 contest last night, beating nineteen other contestants to it.
She takes home a Rover Saloon Car, 25 million cedis and a ticket to the Miss World grand finale next year.
The event came off by a hare's breath, when event organizers, Sparrow Productions fulfilled their final obligations to Miss Ghana 2005, Lamisi, Mbillah, after she threatened court action against them for withholding her 10 thousand dollar cash prize and the title to her car.
