The Minister of National Orientation, Kwamena Bartels will today speak to journalists about issues concerning the impending celebrations of Ghana's 50th Anniversary.

There have been controversial views from the public about government's intention to spend 182.9 billion cedis on Ghana's Golden Jubilee Independence Anniversary, which will be climaxed on March 6 in 2007.

Although some minority MP's in Parliament have expressed concern about the approved amount, saying its too huge considering the challenges facing the nation, the Chief Executive of the Ghana at 50 Planning Committee, Dr Charles Wereko Brobbey says the 20 million dollar budget is justified.
