Ghanaian boxer Joshua Clottey will fight Richard Gutierrez from Colombia in an IBF international welterweight contest scheduled for Saturday in California.
Ranked second best in the welterweight 154 pounds division, Joshua Clottey is one of Ghana's world title hopefuls.
Clottey last fought in December 2005 and has since been preparing with trainer Kwame Asante in his Bronx base in the USA.
Joshua Clottey's impressive fight record of 20 knockouts in 30 fights will be given a real test by Gutierrez who boasts 16 knockouts in 27 bouts.
A win for the Ghanaian boxer will enhance his prospects for an opportunity to fight for the world title sometime next year.
