Selection Of Naana As Running Means Victory For Rising Ladies

A group calling itself Rising Ladies has described the nomination of Prof. Jane Naana Opoku Agyeman as running late to the flagbearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama for 2020 general elections as a victory for women in Ghana.

The group is optimistic that her achievements will transcend to inspire the new generation of Ghanaian women and girls to attain the highest height in the democratic dispensation.

In a statement signed by Esther Otumfuo, the Convener said "A well-deserved congratulations to Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang on your nomination as the running mate of former President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC. This is victory for women across the globe especially Ghana."

In a congratulatory message, the group commended the opposition NDC for projecting the credentials of Professor Opoku-Agyemang in a highly and believing in the woman potentials in a highly competitive and dominated field.

The statement further said "We urge the men to come on board for an all-inclusive democratic achievement. It is time to get the job done by ourselves as women."

A well-deserved congratulations to Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang on your nomination as the running mate of former President John Dramani Mahama and the NDC. This is victory for women across the globe especially Ghana. Rising Ladies Africa extends our sincere congratulations to Professor Agyemang and the NDC for projecting the credentials of Professor Opoku-Agyemang in a highly and believing in the woman potentials in a highly competitive and dominated field. The party unveiled a phenomenal woman with an impeccable educational background and achievements both academically, socially and as a mother aside the duty as a great gender activist.

This highlights the SDG goal five (5), i.e. gender equality.

Rising Ladies Salute Professor Naana is an educationist, a mother and a global icon.
