Ashanti RCC Issues Statement on Burial Of Prof. Adu Boahen In Kumasi

The Ashanti regional Co-ordinating Council has released a statement detailing some aspects of the state burial of the late professor Emeritus, Albert Adu Boahen that will be restricted to Ashanti.

According to the statement signed by the Regional Co-ordinating Director, Mr E. Y. Kwarteng on behalf of the Ashnati Regional Minister, the mortal remains of the late professor will be escorted through some principal streets of Kumasi tomorrow Friday, July 21, before finally arriving at his ancestral home at Juaben.

The funeral procession will start from the KNUST through Oforikrom, Amakom, Asawasi, Manhyia, Ashtown Suame roundabout and Abrepo junction. It will then head for Bantama highstreet through Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, then to Kejetia, Adum via Prempeh the second street then proceed to Abinkyi near the KMA offices at Adum linked up to Asafo high street and then end at the labour roundabout before departing for Juaben.
