A prominent Kumasi-based fuel dealer, Mr. George Ayisi Boateng has allayed the fears entertained by a section of the public that adjusting the fuel pumps at the various filling stations to reflect the new fuel price increase will take time hence creating room for dealers to cheat unsuspecting customers.

Mr Ayisi Boateng who was reacting to such concerns pointed out that there is no basis for such fears to be expressed. This is because there are various mechanisms in place to check corruption in the fuel trade. He referred particularly to the bill boards mounted at some filing stations which he said display existing cost of fuel at every moment in time.

Mr Ayisi Boateng advised that those who have any doubts about the quantity of fuel supplied them should adopt the habit of purchasing quantities whose payment will not involve a round sum of money or will not generate confusion in terms of calculation of what has been paid for.
