A state burial has been held for the late Professor Albert Adu-Boahene, the eminent Ghanaian Historian and Politician. Professor Adu-Boahene died on the 24th of May, this year, incidentally on his 74th birthday.
The state burial according to government is in recognition of his distinguished service to the nation. Among the several distinguished personalities that joined the family at the forecourt of Parliament House to mourn the late statesman were President John Agyekum, Vice President Alhaji Aliu Mahama and ministers of state.
In a tribute to the late Professor, his children described him as a man with many interests apart from history.
