Nana Kofi Coomson, Chief Executive Officer of the Chronicle Group of Newspapers has incited the media against the Democratic Freedom Party (DFP), urging journalists to shun Dr Obed Asamoah and his cronies.

He implied that the DFP leadership is largely made up of anti-democrats who until recently, were rooting for the extinction of the Ghanaian media, using the criminal Libel law.

In an interview with CITI NEWS, Nana Coomson said that until Dr Asamoah and his cohorts demonstrate authentic exit from what he called "the unrepentant character of being the enemy of the press", the Ghanaian media should refuse them coverage.

According to him, Dr Obed Asamoah, Former Attorney General and Minister for Justice under the Rawlings rule, was very instrumental in the retention of the criminal libel law on the statues, and should therefore not turn around today to pretend to be a friend of the media he tried to kill.

The former National Democratic Congress (NDC) National Chairman was not the only target for Mr Coomson's attacks.

Mr Coomson also turned his guns on the entire leadership of the DFP, specifically accusing the party's spokesperson, Mr Abraham Kofi Asante, of behaving like a rolling stone which is condemned to gathering no dust.
