There are indications that the price of petroleum products would go up again soon.
The price of crude oil is currently 75 dollars a barrel, compared to 61 dollars a barrel the last time the price of petroleum products were increased in May.
The Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority, Mr John Attafah said since the oil sector has been deregulated, it is up to the Oil Marketing Companies and the importers to determine the price at which they would sell the products.
According to Mr John Attafah, the National Petroleum Authority is only to regulate trade in the sector.
