The overwhelming endorsement of Joseph Gerald Nii Tetteh Nyanyofio by delegates of the New Patriotic Party in the La Dadekotopon Constituency parliamentary race is a symptom of aroused intense distaste and disliked for the incumbent Member of Parliament for the area, Hon. Vincent Sowah Odotei aka Obama.

The ecstatic delegates say they have fallen in love with Gerald, a bond they said, is strong enough to compel the MP to kiss the political dust come tomorrow Saturday June 20 unless something miraculous happens on his side.

The delegates who are now fed up to the back teeth indicated that the MP has failed to deliver after promising to give each electoral areas one car, soft loans, build an ultra-modern school block at the neighbourhood centre, a recreational centre, dredge the Kpeshie lagoon for tourists attraction and many others.

On top of it, Hon. Vincent Sowah Odotei, a former Minister of Communication who was recently sacked by President Akufo-Addo has been accused by delegates of fomenting trouble and divisiveness within the party. According to them, the MP has resorted to quarrels and begrudging every single member in the constituency including the constituency executives, the Municipal Chief Executive and, chiefs and elders of the area.

They are disappointed that the only thing the incumbent MP can boast of is toilet for a major constituency like La Dadekotopon. According to the delegates, a vote for the incumbent MP is an insult or a vote against the president who has wished Obama all the best in his future endeavors.

According to them, the removal of the MP from his ministerial position by President Akufo-Addo is an euphemistic way of kicking him out entirely from the NPP government in replace for Joseph Gerald Tetteh Nyanyofio who is the President's choice.

The delegates believe it is end of the road for the incumbent MP. They noted that the four years of Hon. Vincent Sowah Odotei is nothing to write home about and require someone with the can-do spirit to bring development and make the party more attractive.
