NPP Primaries: Kwesimintsim MP To Flog NACCA Boss With Over 60% Votes

A survey conducted by Generalobey.com has revealed that the incumbent Member of Parliament for Kwesimintsim, Hon. Joseph Mensah would defeat his close contender Dr. Prince Hamid Armah with 64% votes in the upcoming parliamentary primaries slated for Saturday, June 20, 2020.

This survey was conducted to ascertain the candidates who has the edge over the other amid several noise by the supporters of both aspirants in the area.

The incumbent MP is being contested by the Executive Secretary of National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA), Dr. Prince Hamid Armah, who according to our research will suffer a humiliating defeat with 36% votes despite his aggressive campaign all over the constituency and the country at large to see the exit of the MP.

According to the survey, the incumbent MP will receive overwhelming victory by the delegates to renew his mandate to represent the party for the second term in the December general elections.

The delegates during the exercise expressed their willingness to vote massively for the MP because they have seen a lot of transformations in the entire constituency since he became MP.

The delegates related their reasons to give the MP another mandate as someone who has used one term to develop the entire area, describing it as unprecedented.

The legislature would have the privilege to continue to complete many of the projects he has started in the area.

Mr. Joseph Mensah awaiting a resounding victory by the delegates is an indication of appreciation for fulfilling the promises made to them last four years.

Dr. Prince Hamid Armah, the Executive Secretary of the National Council for Curriculum and Assessment (NaCCA), who before his appointment was an Assembly Member of Adiembra Electoral Area in the Sekondi Constituency of the western region in 2013.

He resigned as an assembly member because the party people accused him if being in bed with NDC who sponsored him abroad the further his education.

In all, a total of 397 delegates in 9 polling stations are eligible to vote in the primaries in Kwesimintsim.

In the western region, the NPP parliamentary primaries will be held in 13 constituencies as 20 aspiring candidates are contesting in 14 constituencies, whilst 6 incumbent MPs go to the primaries unopposed.

According to the research almost all the MPs in the region will sail through the primaries.

The primaries will be held at a electoral area centres to observe the president directives on COVID-19 protocols. Additionally, alcohol-based hand sanitizers would be provided at every poll centres for delegates to sanitize their hands before and after casting their ballots.
