President J.A. Kufuor was officially informed yesterday of the death of Dr. Isaac Chinebuah, former minister of state in the First and Third Republics.
Dr. Chinebuah, died on June 8, 2006 at the age of 78.
Mr. John Amankwah, former Western Regional Secretary during the PNDC regime, leader of the family delegation to the Castle, said the late Chinebuah would be buried on August 11, in Accra.
President Kufuor expressed condolence to the bereaved family and said the government would be fully represented at the funeral.
The President described the late Dr. Chinebuah as a man who served his country with distinction, citing his contribution to education and academic in particular.
The late Chinebuah was the Minister of Education and Information in the First Republic as well as Minister of Foreign Affairs in the Third Republic.
He also served as the Headmaster of Achimota School between 1963 and 1966.
He is survived by his wife Jane,and eight children.
