Mammoth Crowds of Fools Do Not a Democracy Make

The testimony of the so-called Mammoth Crowd that reportedly massed up in front of the Accra National Headquarters of the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service (GPS), to supposedly “solidarize” with the grossly misguided National Chairman of the splinter Nkrumaist political organization, the People’s National Convention (PNC), Mr. Bernard Biis-naab Angbatayela Mornah, clearly demonstrates that contrary to the vacuous propagandistic effusions of the political opposition in the country, Ghana’s democratic culture could not be more healthy and robust under the civilized and progressive and visionary leadership of President Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.

Mr. Mornah, who has been widely known to be one of the best paid shills of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), had been invited by officials at the CID Headquarters because Mr. Mornah had made incendiary remarks suggesting that he and his thievish double-salary taxpayer-scamming opposition political operatives intended to plunge Ghana into a bestial state of civil war the likes of which had never been witnessed in the postcolonial era on the African Continent. And all this intended savage display of civic anomie and wanton bestiality, because Ghana’s Parliament had resoundingly approved the compilation of a new National Biometric Voters’ Register (NBVR) in the runup to the 2020 General Election.

Even worse, the PNC’s National Chairman and his National Democratic Congress’ paymasters, in their abject and criminal cowardliness, have rather chosen to target the Jean Adukwei Mensa-headed Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) for prolonged and systematic abuse and harassment, instead of the National Assembly of Ghana or the Ghanaian Parliament that exclusively approved the IEC’s decision to compile a new National Biometric Voters’ Register. Indeed, just within the past two days, the so-called National Communications Officer of the National Democratic Congress, Mr. Samuel “Sammy” Gyamfi, publicly and virulently accused the top administrators of the IEC, in the main Mrs. Mensa, that is, the Chairperson of the IEC, of “deliberate engagement in Xenophobia” vis-à-vis the Parliament-approved IEC’s decision to compile a new National Biometric Voters’ Register.

The preceding accusation clearly indicates that the leaders of the National Democratic Congress and their associates and cronies of the organized parliamentary opposition are, indeed, hell-bent on jampacking Ghana’s Voters’ Register with the names and falsified citizenship details or particulars of foreign nationals already resident in the country and some that are yet to be ferried across the borders of the country to exercise a franchise which they are clearly not qualified to exercise, come December 7, or thereabouts, in order to give the murderous and thievish John Dramani Mahama-led National Democratic Congress an illegitimate edge in the 2020 General Election but, in particular, the 2020 Presidential Election, as had been criminally done in both the 2012 and the 2016 General Elections by Dr. Kwadwo Afari-Gyan, the extant Electoral Commissioner.

You see, Dear Reader, about the only way that any opposition politician could seriously accuse the present administrators of the Independent Electoral Commission of engaging in “Xenophobia” is for these same critics to be hell-bent on packing Ghana’s National Voters’ Roll (NVR) with foreign-born residents who never legitimately acquired Ghanaian citizenship. It also exposes the leadership of the Mahama-led National Democratic Congress of morbidly being afraid to confront the proverbial Handwriting-on-the-Wall, which is that the NDC leadership has absolutely no enviable track-record of development achievements to stand on or showcase to the electorate in the leadup to the 2020 General Election. Which is why political charlatans like Mr. Johnson Asiedu-Nketia, the General-Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, and the latter party’s National Chairman, Mr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, have been criminally insistent on having the fake Voters’ ID issued to foreign nationals resident in the country, largely by the NDC’s own appointed retired Electoral Commissioner, to wit, Dr. Kwadwo Afari-Gyan, be accepted as valid Voter IDs in the 2020 General Election.

The warped logic here is that since these fake Voters’ ID Cards were successfully used in both the 2012 and the 2016 General Elections, they are by this very fact of criminal reality authentic Voters’ Registration Identification documents. This is just how criminally-minded opposition political scam-artists like Messrs. Bernard Mornah and John Mahama are. The good news here, however, is that the overwhelming majority of Ghanaian citizens and the electorate are poised to fiercely fight this genocidal attempt to have Mahama-sponsored foreign nationals take over and/or illegitimately and criminally determine the destiny of the country.
