Member of Parliament for Bawku Central Hon. Mahama Ayariga has supported the Muslim community in Bawku with 150 bags of rice to help them observe the celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr which marks the end of Ramadan.
The donation is in addition to his earlier donations of 130 bags of sugar to the Muslim community when the fasting commenced last month.
As part of his support, the lawmaker has earlier supported the Muslim clerics with air time on radio stations worth Ghc10,000 to enable them hold their tabsir as the ban on public gathering is still in force.
Mahama Ayariga also extended his kind gesture to the Christian community with air time on radio stations also worth Ghc10,000 to enable them spread the gospel laced with covid-19 message to the benefit of the general public.
The MP has also presented several packets of roofing sheets for the Nabuda CHIPS Compound which suffered severe devastation as a result of a recent windstorm that ripped off its roof.
The leadership of the Muslim community commended thanked Mahama Ayariga for the kind gesture and remembering them in these festive occasions.
They prayed for Allah's guidance and protection for him.
