Katawire, Ice Kenkey & Agya Koo in New York for US tour
Bridges Sounds & Entertainment, in conjunction with Kings of Kings African Market, are exclusively presenting three distinctive Ghanaian Premier Comedy Giants, dubbed the Kings of Comedy, by 3G Media Inc. The tour hits Colorado, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Ohio, Los Angeles Chicago and Atlanta
It was an exciting moment when NY based promoter; Samuel Dwamena was looking for a place to host a comedy night featuring “The Kings of Comedy” from Ghana. He was confident that the place he got was the best location to host such an event. These comedians keep reinventing themselves and are about to hit the community with a night of unstoppable laughter. These comedians have made several movies and have been making the global community laughing their heads off.
Well, eat your hearts out - “here comes the hotstepper” - Agya Koo aka Adu Kofi, Ice Kenkey and the never looking so old but getting younger all the time; the legendary Katawire who have landed at the big apple and making some noise.
The three gentlemen dubbed by the promoter; “The Comedy Giants” have been busy promoting their US tour and also shooting a movie at the same time. 3G Media Inc. teamed up with the stars for a brief welcome tour of the community in the Bronx to promote their New York event. Many fans who watch their movies were happy to see the stars of comedy. The group first paid a visit to the home of heavy hitter; DJ Nyce who was celebrating the naming of his son.
Fans could not contain their excitement as they wanted to take pictures with them. These fans have been anticipating what is going to be the biggest night of comedy Ghanaians have ever seen in New York. Come Friday night; June 5th, the stars will entertain their fans live.
Prior to the New York show which is on Friday; 5th of June; 2009, 10pm till Day Break at the Cocoa House, the trio performs on May 29th, 2009; from 10pm-4am. They will also be Special guests are the launching of Volta Power FM at the Cocoa House the next day; May 30th.
Also performing on the bill are; Kyeiwaa and the loudable and atrocious Mercy (Tough Lady), Papa Cozy, Nsoroma and B-Nyce .
