Miss Malaika Outdoors Book Series
Montia and Dr. Tetteh launching the book series officially at the Accra International Press Centre
WINNER OF Miss Malaika 2006, Hamamat Montia, has taken her career to the next level with the official launch of her first book titled “Zuzu & Sasa.”
Zuzu and Sasa is a children's book series that highlights the everyday adventures of two Ghanaian sisters, Zuzu and Sasa.
The stories are a collection of experiences shared and narrated by the girls. Their journey offers fun and exposure as they embark on a trip across Africa with their philanthropic mother.
Speaking at the launch of the book on Tuesday in Accra, Ms Montia, who was charged with stealing a vehicle sometime back, said “the aim of the book series is to promote literacy and self-confidence among young children.”
According to her, the series are to reach children across Ghana and Africa.
She underscored her commitment to raising future leaders “who are well read and confident.”
To that end, the model who doubles as the Founder of Africa Eats Now, a non-governmental organization that works to feed malnourished children within the African sub-region, has commenced a project to build libraries across the country to grant children easy access to books.
Meanwhile Zuzu & Sasa has been endorsed by Dr. Lawrence Tetteh, a Ghanaian international evangelist.
