Though many are thronging the gospel music industry with desires of gaining fame, wealth and rewards, Pastor Kobbi Ampofo falls amongst the very few that comes to keep the industry alive, with godly inspirations.

Pastor Kobbi Ampofo, who happens to be the resident pastor of the Friends of Christ Ministry has described his coming into the industry as "a divine calling". As a gift God deposited in him, so must he give back to Him (God) as a means of obligation.

The pastor, teacher and councellor has noted that the ghanaian gospel music industry is a growing one with one major challenge he described as "shift from inspiration to rythm". The trend of latest gospel music is rather of contemporary than inspirational especially among the youth. According to him a gospel music can be judged by it's lyrics as well as artiste's attitude that would not compromise its spiritual connotation. He also claims that a gospel music should be identified with attributes such as "inspiration, motivation, guidance, rebuke, encouragement and mostly, speaking of salvation".

Mr. Ampofo can boast of over 50 recorded tracks. But would like to mention only a few: "Yesu wuu maa wo", "Ahene mu hene", "Totorobento behyen" and "Ahenni ye wo dea" all in 1989. "Yesu mogya" in 1990, "Yesu Fata" in 1991, "Yesu se Ayeyi" in 1992, "Okatakyie Yesu" in 2006. "He is risen" and "Wa show ne power" in 2012 and recently "Nokware", which is on the verge of receiving massive airplay.

"Upholding the truth is the key to correcting the decay of the moral fibre in every segment of our national life. And my song, Nokware No, meaning the truth, aptly portrays the message from my innermost being as the holy spirit inspired me to tell it. It's all about seeking the truth, telling the truth and leaving by the truth! Truth leads to reconcilation, unity and development. Let us never in our lives sacrifice the truth for anything and we'll receive God's approval and his blessings in whatever we do. Amen" - an inspirational message from the man of God.

For Pastor not to leave us idling, he gives us this fews quotations to meditate on; John 18 : 37, Proverbs 12 : 19 and John 8 : 32.
