ASEM CLAPS HIS WAY TO THE TOP

Hiplife star, Asem decided to sing the praise of GLO telecommunication network in a recent interview with one of Kumasi's best radio DJs; Kwame Poku (DJ Scientific).

Speaking on the Focus Citi Show, a music countdown programme on Focus FM, Nana Wiafe Asante Mensah as he is known outside entertainment circles said GLO is the best thing to have happened to the Ghanaian entertainment Industry.

Asem, who is currently on a nationwide tour intimated that his tour is expected to help publicise his album as well as bring creative young talents onboard his record label.

He spoke at length about his new album named solid Grounds and how songs on the album are topping music charts around the country.

The rap sensation who expects his new record label WBDN records to be a hit in a few years also had an interesting tip for his colleague musicians. He says in order to be successful; musicians need to have CLAP- a good Concept, rich Lyrics, Attitude as well as impeccable Performance.

Regarding his success within the Music industry, Asem who has made his way onto BBC's DJ Edu's Afrobeats compilation says the thanks should be given to his excellent production team, rich lyrics as well as positive attitude and concepts.

The hiplife sensation explained the name of his latest album solid Grounds saying that it represents the height he has reached since his humble beginnings as an artiste coupled with the experiences he believes has made him a more stable and complete musician.

He told DJ Scientific his School dey be project which involves distributing books, computers and other academic resources to schools is having a great impact on deprived schools within the Greater Accra region and is targeting to cover Ghana as a whole.

His song Bye Bye featuring Kwabena Kwabena was number one on the Top 10 @10 Music countdown on the citi show and Asem says his fans should watch out for a film he is shooting for the song.
