DISCO QUEEN ,DONNA SUMMER DIES AT 63

An American songstress, Donna Summer famous for disco classics like I Feel Love And Love To Love You Baby died of lung cancer at the age 63.Like many other music stars who used the church as a platform to stardom , Donna Summer is no different,eg Bob Marley,Whitney Houston and Elvis Presley etc.

The beautiful ,sexy and inspirational singer with a velvet voice was married to Bruce Sudano and were based in Forida.She was on top of her Career between 1978-1980 with a number of US hit singles like Bad Girls,Hot Stuff and Last Dance.She won five Grammy Awards with further 12 nominations .

Her Career surfered a big blow when she was accused of making anti gay comments which she denied. She later came back with a string of hit singles which made up for the set back of her career as a result of the controversial anti gay comments she was accused of .Many musicians and producers have paid tribute to her.

Producer Pete Waterman who worked with the singer in the 1980s spoke to BBC and quoted “she was the icing on the cake. we were on top of our game when we worked with her.She was just fantastic.

Another producer Quincy Jones said”her voice was the heartbeat and the soundtrack of a decade. R&B star Mary J Bliget twittered “she was truly a game changer”. Summer's family said “we lost Donna Summer Sudano early this morning ,she was a woman of many gifts and the greatest being her faith.

The iconic and inspirational singer is one of the few whose message goes beyond musical boundaries.
