Tema-based music duo, Keche, will launch its eight-track debut album, Pressure, at the Aphrodisiac Night Club in Accra from 7.00pm on Friday, December 3.

Keche is made up of Andrew Cudjoe (Kechede) and Joshua Ampah (Kechepa). They are among the crop of enterprising young artistes who have sprung up in recent years in the Tema area and they will be supported at the launch by other Tema acts such as Nana Boroo, R2Bees and Sarkodie.

According to the group’s manager, Edwin Kweku Edinkrah, everyone who comes to the launch will get a free copy of the Pressure album.

He said Keche will perform songs from the album and there would be an opportunity for people to take pictures with the group as well as other stars at the function which is being organised by Spyder Lee Entertainment.

The Pressure album is the result of years of bidding their time and harnessing ideas which started growing from their original base of Takoradi. Enroute to getting this far, Kechede and Kechepa did time in recording studios and they enhanced their awareness of what goes on in the music business through those sessions.

They at some point met recording engineer and producer, Kaywa who took them under his wings and gave them the opportunity to feature on materials by known artistes like Daasebre Gyamena, Sarkordie, Castro, Nana Quame, Boli, Chemphe and Screwface.

Keche, who have appeared on TV3’s Music Music, Allo Tigo on Metro and TV Africa’s Soundsplash programmes, performed at the recent Joy FM Old Skuul Reunion and Face of Legon events.

The two young men regard the album launch as a stepping stone to bigger things around the corner.
