A practicing Medical Doctor has been billed as the Master of Ceremony (M.C) to anchor Becca's 'Children's Ball' scheduled to take place at the Banquet Hall of the state House in Accra, come Saturday March 20, 2010.

The Doctor Dr. Raymond Krakraba Quashie works at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital as a General Practitioner. He attended Achimota School, and continued to the medical school in Legon. After practicing for several years, Dr. Quashie is currently at the law school to add law to his medical profession. Mr. Kiki Banson, C.E.O of E.K.B Records and manager of Afro Pop singer, Rebecca Acheampong popularly known as Becca confirmed this to peacefmonline when we spoke to him yesterday Monday March 15. 'Well, we decided to take Dr. Quashie to MC the program not just because he is a fine practicing doctor but because he is also one of the best MCs in Ghana and that will be showcased for everybody to see on Saturday. I think he is the best person to do this because the main purpose is to promote health and that is his field.' Kiki said.

Kiki added that he will be supported by a female co-MC who may either be a nurse or a female doctor. Becca's 'Children's Ball' event is part of Becca's social responsibility project to register 10,000 children under the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS) nationwide. The event, which is expected to be attended by the affluent in society, corporate executives and philanthropists, is to raise funds to register the children.

The program is strictly by invitation. Few limited tickets available for sale, go for GH¢180 and GH¢300 for single and double respectively. A full dinner round table for ten seats goes for GH¢1500. According to Kiki, tickets bought are delivered to the doorstep of the patrons irrespective of the distance.

The program has been planned to last for exactly two hours i.e. from 8:30pm-10:30pm. The night will see great performances by 'serious' highlife legend Abrantie Amakye Dede, rib cracking jokes by Basket Mouth from Nigeria and a fashion show.
