ABOUT KWIN DIVA
Introducing the new face of Afro Pop in Nigeria, 22-year old up and coming singer, vocalist and songwriter KWIN DIVA - real name Okoye Queen

Elizabeth. Born and raised in Asaba, Delta State into a large musical family, the last child of a family of six - who describes her sound as purely African with a slight touch of Rhythm and Blues and Soul - started singing at the tender age of five, first as part of her Primary School choir and then at her local church as part of the children's choir which she eventually began leading at the age of twelve.

KwinDiva started writing her own original songs when she was fifteen and by the age of 16, KwinDiva was already performing Church solos and leading the main choir at her local church. It was during her burgeoning time in church that her love for music grew and her singing and song writing dexterities were developed further.

KwinDiva auditioned at the Glo Naija Sings competition in 2011 and was among the top ten contestants in the Enugu zone. Falling just short of qualifying for the finals because she was penalised by the judges for performing a Gospel song at the last hurdle, KwinDiva was encouraged by the likes of Tosin Martins, Derenle Edun and Dokta Frabz who all saw her sheer brilliance and urged to re-audition in 2012. Not relenting, KwinDiva dusted her feet off, continued to work hard and eventually caught the eyes of Gold Strings INC Talent Agency/Management company.

Having performed alongside the likes of Waje, Dare Art Alade, Tiwa Savage, Vector, Omawumi and Mo'Cheddahat several high profile gigs and concerts and with influences such as Corrine Bailey Rae, Nayo Soul, Asa, Beyonce and Adele to mention a few, the Anambra State native, KwinDiva continues to prove herself to be, not only a consummate performer but also a hugely outstanding singer and songwriter as she climbs up the ranks in the Nigerian music landscape - she is certainly one to watch among the new school of Nigerian Pop artists.

KwinDiva is currently studying at the famous Nnamdi Azikiwe University in her hometown, Anambra State while continuing to make strides with her music and is officially managed by Gold Strings INC. Her debut single “Tinini” is produced by Young D and is out on August 18, 2012.
