Will Mr & Mrs gross over N32m this year?

Last year not more than five movies sold more than N20m at the cinemas with blockbuster movies like Ije leading the pack of movies that rocked our world in 2011, Mirror Boy, Anchor Baby, Tango with Me and The Return of Jenifa following suit. This year expectations are rife as to the movies that would surpass the N32m mark as the movie, Mr & Mrs comes hits the cinemas.

Mr. & Mrs. Features majorly the duo of fast rising stars Joseph Benjamin and Nse Ikpe Etim in this very romantic drama. With a handful of movies to the credit of this duo, they are not showing any signs of frailty as they both upped the ante in this new movie which centers on the happenings in the average marriage and relationship in the Nigerian environment.

Screened in South Africa, the movie is expected to hit the cinemas from the month of March and industry pundits have tipped the duo of Joseph Benjamin and Nse Ikpe Etim to make a very big statement with this movie as they are known to interpret their roles well and draw a lot of emotion to their roles.

Produced by Chinwe Egwuagu and directed by Ikechukwu Onyeka, and shot with the Canon 5D by DOP Tom Robson. The movie centers on two couples whose marriages were threatened by social and economic differences in their society.

With this new movie hitting the cinemas in the month of March, will it lead the pack of blockbusters this year after the order of Ije and the rest? Only time will tell.
