Beauty & Fashion Idia Aisien Channels Her Inner Warrior Princess For Our February Cover
FEB 3, 2017 LISTEN

Each month as I sit down to connect with you through my editorial note, I think about what I can share that might be inspiring to your life, asking God for his guidance and direction. Zen Magazine’s journey hasn’t been without bumps and like any other good journey, we had to go through both the good and the not so good periods. But everything happens for a reason and our common love for African fashion and the creative beauty out of Africa always brings us back together.

I love new months. And of course, February is the month of love. The month where lovers celebrate Valentine’s Day by the giving of candy or cars, flowers or flight trips, gadgets or gigantic rings, and much more and off course not forgetting widow’s mite. Even though I think that love and romance should be celebrated more than just on Valentine’s Day, you can’t ignore the fact that February is a special month. Our February/March 2017 issue is here, and we’re giving you a first look at our tribal, Afroinspired cover and the amazing fashion contents, inspirational interviews, beauty tips and much more inside!!

On our cover this month is a Nigerian-Cameroonian model and TV host who has within one year made her mark in the fashion industry. From doing commercials for LAN Airlines and campaigns for Black Opal, BMW Nigeria, Nivea and Sway Hair, to gracing the catwalks for the likes of Maki Oh, Ituen Basi, Deola Sagoe, Lanre Da Silva, Danny Nguyen and so many others, she is one model who always brings something new to the table. She is amazing and tantalising. Styled in a tribal queen attire, our cover model, Idia Aisien , is absolutely glowing on our Feb/Mar cover.

Adorned in jewellery from Le Reve Pieces, Idia makes a positively radiant statement with her lightly bronzed, natural face and embolden feminine warrior princess look. Currently a talk show host on Style 101 and You Got Issues, Idia sits with our editor this month to discuss how she got into modelling and opens up to us about the life of a Talk show host. Have a question for her? Feel free to leave them in the comments below as Idia will be answering questions on social media this month! Expect her interview on the 4th week of February.

Our beauty director, Princess Amayo , shares with us her top 7 beauty resolutions of 2017 and the products she can’t live without.
