Ghana Tourist Coach Radio (GTCR), organizers of the maiden edition of Miss Ghana Tourism USA -- a pageant for Ghanaian beauties -- have revealed to TheAfricanDream.net that the second edition of the event will occur on October 8, 2016. Miss Ghana Tourism USA/GTCR made the revelation during an interview at their Alexandria, Virginia based offices in the United States of America (USA).

Kwame Boakye Danquah; Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Miss Ghana Tourism USA/GTCR said his organization set out to initiate this pageant for beauties as part of efforts to promote Ghana in North America while selling the country as an ideal tourist destination to people living in the USA and beyond.

"We had female contestants representing each of the ten regions of Ghana and designed the pageant in such a way that sold the heritage and touristic attractions of these respective regions. All participating beauties in the maiden edition did excellently well in giving more information about their regions and how they hoped to be ambassadors of Ghanaian tourism to the USA" said Kwame Boakye Danquah

Kwame also told TheAfricanDream.net that Miss Ghana Tourism USA/GTCR in line with the tradition of the event will in 2016 continue to encourage Ghanaians living in the USA to visit home often to learn more about their own cultures and share them with friends and families. "We encourage potential visitors to consider exploring the rich culture and history of Ghana and its importance to the rest of the world, and forge potential investment opportunities as envisioned by the Ghana embassy in the USA" Kwame said.
