Total Onslaught on Marriage

At the pace human inhabitants of Earth change their behaviour towards things that matter to our maker requires that we think again, think deeply and reappraise our faith in Adonai who owns us and our Earth. Because even the most erudite beings could not disagree, that practically everything they use in their daily living was made by someone they either know or not know, there also is no foundation to dispute that the maker and owner of us and earth is Adonai. As our owner He earns the right to issue to mankind a guideline on how we should live and behave.

Irish Republic lasted just four days as the Newest European Homosexual Nation following a Parliamentary vote in Greenland, which gives Greenland the green light to introduce same-sex marriage and adoption. While these are happening, it is not known how concerned Christ’s believers around the world are.

While a growing number of nations and humans continue to assault Adonai’s pattern for marriage, it is crucial to keep in mind that the words of the Lord does not and cannot change with human’s opinion-Hebrews 13:8-9. The Papacy and Christian Concern have voiced strong concern; they declared publicly that marriage means one and only one thing: “a union between one woman and one man.” If this also is the position of the body of Christ why are we silent on this vital issue about human existence and our relationship with Adonai?

The legitimacy of marriage is dependent on the circumstances of the man and the woman prior to the marriage. What this means is that though a marriage may seem to have occurred, it only has significance in the eyes of humans because, before Adonai, such marital relationship does not exist. Marriages become illicit because they do not comply with the rule/s Adonai provided for marriage. All same-sex relationships/marriages and some marriages between men and women fall into illicit category of marriages and are sinful before Elohim.

Whereas same-sex relationship/marriage is an outright disobedience against our owner (Adonai), it is an extreme attack on the Lord’s pattern of marriage to name a male partner in a homosexual marriage, the mother of a child they adopted in the same-sex depravity. A male human does not and cannot give birth to a human and as such cannot be named the mother of any child (whose child?); a child they could not birth but long to own! This is a key argument why homosexual marriage does not exist; it is the danger of this practice and a clue of what to expect in future as homosexuality sweeps across minds and nations.

When we beat the child, common sense says, do not forbid them from crying. A direct attack on Adonai via outright adoption of sin into nations culture has been unleashed, but not total; the onslaught is now directed to the Lord’s brethren; people called to proclaim Christ and remind all us how we alienate ourselves from Adonai and the consequences of our sins-Matthew 13: 41-43; 2 Corinthians 6:2; Romans 6:23.

Every time I heard about arrest of brethren, I thought about the arrests in the scriptures. Who knows how long John the Baptist could have spent on Earth had he chosen to remain silent over King Herod’s adulterous sins-Matthew 14:2-4? Who knows how long Elder James would have lived on Earth had he chosen to deny Yeshua during his arrest while it was convenient for him-Acts 12:2. But what shall it (also) profit a man to gain the world and lose his soul-Luke 9:25.

Believer in the Lord will be missing the point to think that the best approach, in order to please someone, anyone, will be to remain silent over sins and repentance of humanity. Yeshua said that such a time will come when you and I will take up our own cross and follow Him. That moment we have chosen to believe in Christ is the moment we have chosen to take up our cross. There is a cost associated with the cross.

Last month in Hereford, UK, brother Andrew Geuter was arrested following an accusation by a member of the public that Andrew made homophobic comments. Andrew spent 5 hours in custody but was eventually cleared of those charges following insufficient evidence to prosecute him by the Police. Another brother, Rob Hughes spent 11 hours following his arrest in Basildon, England, UK. He was accused of using homophobic languages. His case was eventually settled out of court while the charges against him were dropped.

Arrests and humiliations and all sorts of punishments will not stop any soon; they are the necessary discomforts for carrying the cross. When we carry our cross we will encounter trials and temptations. But what is more critical is how we manage these trials and temptations as they come after another-James 1:2-8.

What believers cannot do is to keep silent about the truth; what we cannot do is to be provoked to wrath; what we cannot do is to insult anyone whatever lifestyle they have adopted. What we must do is love everyone; our neighbours, but as Adonai and Christ hate sin we also must hate sin and condemn sin in no uncertain terms; help the sinner understand that all they need to have a relationship with Adonai is repentance and faith in Christ, which results in abstinence from sins and leads to righteousness.

Remember in prayers the Body of Christ, Christian Concern, CitizenGO and many other voices we may not know that have dedicated to promoting the Lord’s ways as opposed to that of mankind.
