- Luke 10:38-41; 1 Cor. 15:9-10
Success leaves clues as well as failure. If you see any successful person, look for clues in his or her life. There is no success that is a mystery except bad success because every genuine success leaves clues. So, we should look for clues in the lives of successful people and emulate them. We should also avoid all the clues that point to the result of failures.
Success is a result of consistently applying some basic principles while failure is the result of making the same mistake repeatedly. If you really want to succeed, then form the habit of doing things that failures don't like to do.
Learning has not taken place until behaviour changes. Therefore, behaviour change is the evidence that learning has taken place because you can receive information without learning. An important learning for success in life is to distinguish between:
i. Things that need to be done, and
ii. Things that you want to do.
If you search yourself today in your career or in your work; either you are a student, a business man, a mother or what have you, you will realize that there are some things that need to be done and there are some things that we don't usually like to do. Do the things that need to be done in your life and in your organization and you can never be pushed aside in your generation.
The man who consistently does whatever needs to be done in an excellent manner will always be in demand anywhere he goes. Be diligent to know the things that are the major matters wherever you are and labour to become excellent in those things and God will lift up your head.
Prayer: Lord, deliver me from laziness. Help me to be diligent in handling the core duties that are tied to my greatness and success in life and destiny in Jesus' name, amen.
