“I can do all things through Christ [the Anointed One and His Anointing] which strengtheneth me”. Philippians 4:13, KJV

Notice in today's verse Paul didn't say, “I can do all things through who strengtheneth me”.

He said, “which strengtheneth me”.
He wasn't just talking about Christ, which means the Anointed One of God. He was also talking about the abilities He has- or, the anointing!

As a Christian, God has provided you with the ability to do everything He has called you to do everything He has called you to do – no matter how great or how small the task. He has given you His power. That power is the anointing that is inside you, ready to empower you to do whatever God has called you to do.

When you understand that, it will change the way you read and understand the instructions God has given us about how we're to live.

In Ephesians 4, for example, Paul says, “…walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called…endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit…”sin not… Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth… Grieve not the Holy Spirit of God… And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake hath forgiven you” (verses 1, 3, 26, 29-30, 32, KJV).

Why is it so important that we follow these instructions from Paul? He says it's for Christ's sake. It's for the sake of the anointing – the power He has given you to accomplish His will! In other words, it's our job to keep ourselves in a place where God can anoint us with His power, so we can bring Jesus' love to those around us.

When you realize this, you'll begin to protect that anointing and will not allow anything to hinder the power of God inside you.
