TEXT JOHN 9:39-41

Key verse: “And Jesus said, For judgment l am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind” (John 9:39).

History is replete with men of great wisdom and knowledge. Some have written volumes of books in an attempt to share their knowledge and influence others to follow their thinking. Others have propounded theories, which today, are foundational to many erroneous beliefs. In an attempt to be “wise” in human philosophy and ideas, many have ruined their lives and become entangled in the net of philosophy.

The Pharisees saw themselves as wise men. Their great knowledge in the Jewish law and tradition completely blinded their eyes to the depth of their sins: self-righteousness, sectarian practices, and religious bigotry. In their pride, they said, “…Are we blind also?” The Saviour, in His answer, told them that if they had acknowledged their ignorance, the grace of God would have brought pardon to them. But since they claimed they were wise and rejected the Saviour, there was no hope that their sins could be washed.

PASTOR W.F KUMUYI
Many there are today that reject the word of God and the Saviour Himself. To do this means to reject life, and remain in sin. There cannot be hope for eternal life, when you reject the Saviour. We must not argue against the word of God. The only true wisdom is the knowledge of the Most High. If any man will reject Christ, and rely on worldly wisdom, he should expect the judgment and wrath of God. Man's wisdom will fail you and bring judgment, but His wisdom will keep you safe and secure from all evil, even today!

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY: The wisdom of this world is foolishness before God.

Prayer Point: I receive grace to continue to work in divine wisdom all through my life in Jesus name. Amen
